Christina Applegate debuted her new daughter Sadie Grace on the cover of PEOPLE Magazine this week.

The former Married With Children actress gave birth to her daughter with her 41-year-old fiance Martyn LeNoble, on Jan. 27, and says the moment was deeply “profound” for her.

“I felt my heart literally open up for the first time and like wrap itself around her,” Applegate, 39, said, adding that baby Sadie has “changed her life.” “I want to be the ultimate burper and diaper-changer, I want to be the ultimate at all of it. Sometimes I stand there going, ‘I’m not doing any of this right!’ And then I get this big man belch out of her and I go, ‘Ah, we accomplished this together.’”

Christina underwent a double mastectomy after battling breast cancer in 2008 and she says it is only now that she’s a mother that she feels completely “healed” from the ordeal.

“I’ve had to talk about that word [cancer] more than I’ve ever had to talk about a word in my life. After a while you’re like, ‘There’s got to be something else to me.’ Yeah, now I’m a mom. She’s healed me in so many ways. She’s just made my life so much better. She’s opened my whole soul. I felt my heart literally open up for the first time and like wrap itself around her. It was profound. And I’m more in love with her every minute of the day.”

Meet Dawson’s Daughter!

Dawson’s Creek actor James Van Der Beek introduced his baby daughter to the world in her first magazine photoshoot this week. The divorced actor became a first-time father on Sept. 25, when his second wife, Kimberly Brook, gave birth to their baby daughter Olivia. The Van Der Beeks posed for photos with Little Olivia in a cuddly shoot on the pages of the new issue of PEOPLE Magazine.

James and Kimberly confess that Olivia was named after an “olive tree in Israel” that served as a romantic spot during the courtship of her Mom and Dad.

James On Choosing Olivia’s Name: “She looked like an Olivia. There’s an olive tree in Israel that’s special to us. We spent time under it when we first met in Israel, then we went back to this tree when I was pregnant.”

James On Olivia’s Delivery: “We were one of those couples who was all about natural birth. We had the right doctor, we had the right doula (birthing assistant) and the right nurse at the hospital. Kimberly did it as naturally as she could, but at the end of the day we were very glad we were in the hospital.”

Kim On Labor: “It was four and a half hours of pushing,” the 28-year-old business consultant recalls. “I was going for no drugs, but after pushing for two and a half hours, I was like, ‘OK.’ I was dilated to nine for a few hours and I wasn’t going any further – she switched her position at the last minute and wasn’t coming up from under my pelvic bone. The labor was tough but you forget about it the second they put her in your arms.”

The macho star has been voted as Sexiest Man Alive for 2010 by the Indian edition of People magazine. He has also graced the cover of the magazine’s December 17 issue. Salman Khan talks about his looks and physique in the issue. He says he is comfortable with casual weary T-shirts and jeans. “Only the underwear shouldn’t be torn!” he adds jokingly

Sandra Bullock, whose 2010 included a tabloid-charting cheating scandal, divorce, and the joy of motherhood, was named PEOPLE Magazine’s Woman of the Year on the publication’s list of the 25 Most Intriguing People of 2010.

In its special issue that hits newsstands on Friday, PEOPLE also singled out stars and non-stars alike with special titles. Take Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, for instance, they were named “Glam Parents.” Vogue Magazine covergirl and Oscar favorite Natalie Portman, earned the title “Screen Gem” for her role as an anorexic ballerina in the criticially-acclaimed Black Swan. Nicki Minaj’s cult-like following of Barbies helped the femcee earn the title of “Rap Renegade.” Conservative politician Sarah Palin was dubbed the “Big Gun” of 2010.

Bullock, 46, is preparing for her first Christmas with 11-month-old son Louis, who she adopted just a month before learning that her former husband — biker Jesse James — had been cheating on her.

“Bad things happen, but she celebrates the good ones,” a friend of the actress divulged to PEOPLE.. “And Louis is a wonderful celebration of good things.”

The celebrity weekly also highlights celebrity marriages, high-profile separations (There were five this week alone…), and a “Hall of Shame” that reviews the year’s celebrity lows — Mel Gibson took top honors in that category!

Ryan Reynolds PEOPLE Magazine “Sexiest Man Alive” 2010

On Wednesday, PEOPLE Magazine unveiled the winner of its annual Sexiest Man Alive title — and this year’s coveted title goes to hunky screen star Ryan Reynolds!

“He’s married to the awesome Scarlett Johansson and his star is poised to rocket into the stratosphere when he appears on screen as the Green Lantern next year,” PEOPLE writes.

Ryan hopes his new title will come in handy around the house: “Now it’s going to be, ‘Sexiest man, take out the garbage.’ That does sound better. The most difficult part is going to be organically working this title into a conversation with random strangers.”

The strapping six-foot-two-inch Canadian joins the ranks of Harry Hamlin, Johnny Depp, and Hugh Jackman, who have been honored as some of the world’s most dashing men by the celebrity weekly. Ryan’s entry into the elite group marks 25 years of PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive.

Other stars to feature in the list include Mad Men actor John Hamm, Twilight hunk Kellan Lutz, child star-turned-rapper Drake and Glee star Matthew Morrison, who made up the top five. Jon Bon Jovi, True Blood star Joe Manganiello, Robert Downey Jr., and Grey’s Anatomy’s Jesse Williams rounded out the Top 10.

PEOPLE also ran a Facebook poll, in which fans were invited to share their picks for Sexiest Man Alive. The overwhelming majority of votes went to chiseled actor Vin Diesel – who placed eleventh in the magazine’s own list. Vin took the title from Jersey Shore’s Paul “Pauly D” DelVecchio and Spanish crooner Enrique Iglesias, who polled second and third place respectively.

The issue arrives on newsstands Friday.
