Cheryl Cole Auctioning Off 20 Of Her Favourite Dresses For Charity

The 27-year-old beauty – who was fired from her role as a judge on the US X Factor after just four auditions – will sell designer outfits including a Herve Leger bandage dress and outfits she wore on the British version of The X Factor.

All proceeds will go to her newly formed Cheryl Cole Foundation, in association with the Prince’s Trust – Prince Charles’ charity.

She said: “Clearing out my wardrobe it occurred to me that the clothes I was bagging up for charity could benefit my own charity.

“I knew auctioning clothes would make some money for the charity but also I’m lucky enough to own some amazing clothes which I know would be very beneficial to someone else.”

The public auction begins at 9am on Monday (13.06.11) on asos.com, with 10 dresses released initially followed by one new dress each week day for the next fortnight.

All proceeds from the clothes will go towards Prince’s Trust initiatives in the north east of England.

Meanwhile, Paula Abdul – who worked with Cheryl on the four auditions she appeared on the US ‘X Factor, alongside L.A. Reid and Simon Cowell – has indicated the pop star has big plans up her sleeve for what she is doing next.

She wrote on her twitter page: “Cheryl is amazing. We have forged a wonderful friendship & have been & will continue to stay in touch … I’m excited for everyone to see and hear what she is about to do next. xoP (sic)”

Cheryl was replaced on the show by Nicole Scherzinger, who made her debut as a judge at auditions in New Jersey yesterday (09.06.11).
