Wednesday had already gotten off to a rough start as the blogosphere lit up with reports about “ridiculous” cheating whispers romantically-tying the very-attached Kim to NFL ace Bret Lockett. Now, to add insult to injury, the newly-engaged socialite is getting “The Stank Eye” from Nurse Jackie herself.
When it rains, it pours.
New York Magazine’s Vulture Blog caught up the four-time Emmy winner — who rose to prominence playing TV Mob Wife Carmella Soprano — earlier this week. The Vulture Talking Heads initially wanted to quiz Edie on her first Tony Award nomination for her role in the Broadway revival of “House of Blue Leaves, but the conversation quickly took a turn of “Komical” when someone asked the star for her thoughts on the reality TV craze.
“No, not a big fan. Like, forgive me, I don’t know if you’re friends with her — but who the hell is Kim Kardashian?” Edie replied curtly. “Who are these people and why are they famous and why are they advertising things and being asked their opinions about things? I just don’t understand what these people did to be in a position of having everyone ask their opinions about stuff,” she added. “If there’s something about her personality or something that she’s accomplished or her philosophy on something — but beyond that I don’t understand what’s happening. It’s actually frightening.”
