Zuma Rossdale, the two-year-old son of No Doubt star Gwen Stefani and her husband Gavin, is recovering after breaking his arm in an accidental fall that his father calls “horrific.”
To the horror of his hysterical parents, Zuma was rushed to the hospital on Thursday evening following a tumble from a kitchen countertop in the family’s Beverly Hills home. After having his shattered limb fitted with a plaster cast, the tot was sent home. He’s reportedly doing well.
“It was one of the worst nights of our lives,” Gavin, former frontman of the defunct band Bush, told PEOPLE on Saturday. “He’s fine now. It’s almost worse for us [as parents]…It was one of those freak events – he fell. A freak accident … The kids are never alone and you turn your back – it takes a split second.”
