In Touch is in “In Trouble” again. The tabloid that narrowly escaped a massive libel suit after it published a scoop romantically-linking married sportsman David Beckham to a British hooker last year has now raised the ire of socialite Kim Kardashian and her Team of Ambulance Chasers. The legally-savvy daughter of late attorney Robert Kardashian is threatening to sue the ink off of the glossy after they went public with a scoop claiming that the newly-engaged star has been secretly hooking up with an NFL player, unbeknownst to Kris Humphries, her hoopster fiance.
In Touch says notorious Brotha Lova Kimmy isn’t as ovah “The Chocolate” as she would have us believe. In fact, the tab claims Kim’s been busy sexting New England Patroits ace Bret Lockett while she’s busying throwing together a multimillion-dollar wedding to Humphries. Counsel for Kim not only slammed In Touch with a cease & desist order, they say Kim has never even seen, met, or spoken with Lockett. Bret, on the other hand, tells a different story.
“I don’t like to comment on my personal life, but Kim is a great girl. I hope she’s happy. I knew this was a game to her, and this is what she does,” he says in the June 20 issue of In Touch, on newsstands nationwide Friday. “She pursued me.”
For someone who likes to stay mum about his personal life, Bret sure has a lot to say!
According to the mag, the relationship began when Kim’s friend, actress Lauren London, asked for Bret’s number for Kim last October.
“They chatted and then they started texting each other,” a loose-lipped informant claims. “[Kim] still wanted [Bret] to send nudie pics of himself, but he wouldn’t do it because of Kris. He’s not that kind of guy.”
Meanwhile, TMZ reports that Kim’s lawyer sent In Touch a strongly worded letter, threatening to take legal action over the story, charging that its claims “are, at a minimum, damaging, defamatory, and an invasion of her privacy.”
This isn’t the first time Kim’s faced allegations of being a little too friendly with her very famous vagina. In 2009, Kim say her romance with Super Bowl star Reggie Bush fizzle amid whispers that she’d had an affair with rapper Kanye West during their relationship.
