Nicole Kidman fascinated in a green and brown Proenza Schouler asymmetrical dress at the 2011 CMT Music Awards at Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, June 8, in Nashville, Tenn.
The 43-year-old Aussie star walked the red carpet with husband Keith Urban who was a nominee for multiple awards. The two were their usual romantic selves.
Nicole's knee length striped velour number from Proenza's Fall 2011 collection featured a boat neck, cap sleeves, deep back and a sheer brown skirt with a nude slip showing underneath.
She accessorized with lilac Pierre Hardy strappy heels and chunky floral earrings - a departure from her usual subtle jewels.
Her hair, looking much lighter than her usual red, was styled in a high wavy ponytail with wispy bangs softly framing her forehead.
She wore golden eyeshadow on lids and green on the under eyes, pink blush and pink lipstick. Metalic blue-grey nailploish rounded her playful look.
Kidman, who has a well earned reputation for sartorial sophistication, evoked mixed reactions to the NYC based designer duo Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez dress tonight as the designer house is not known for play-safe red carpet looks. We think Nicole pulled it off well.
The actress, who is currently filming for HBO film, Hemingway and Gellhorn, recently posted her first YouTube video message to connect with her fans.
"This is the first time that I've done this from my website so... I just wanted to say hi, and wanted to thank all the fans for sticking by me through everything and for being supportive of Rabbit Hole."
"I just hope this is the first of a few [videos], I'm not going to do loads of them because I'm kind of shy, but I really just wanted to say thank you, everyone, and here's to a great 2011."
