Lorenzo sans the Lamas? Eighties soap star Lorenzo Lamas (who has six kids with his many ex-wives) wasn’t joking about doing things differently after his recent fifth trip down the aisle.
He’s dropping his last name.
The former star of Falcon Crest and The Bold and the Beautiful will reverse tradition and take the last name of his latest bride, his rep told TMZ.com Tuesday. Lamas, 52, married 24-year-old Shawna Craig on the beach at the Casa Dorada Resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on Saturday. Now starring in the E! docu-soap Leave It to Lamas, Lorenzo wants to “start over fresh” after his four previous marriages and divorces and thinks changing his name to Lorenzo Lamas-Craig is just the trick.
“He’s going to legally change his name to Lorenzo Lamas-Craig. He’s always thinking outside the box so he decided to become the first celebrity to take his wife’s last name. His new wife didn’t want to be called Shawna Lamas for obvious reasons,” ‘Renzo publicist reports.
