The 33-year-old Bongshell was honored for her outstanding performance in the role of a TV journalist in "No One Killed Jessica." The award was presented to her by Bollywood veteran Dharmendra, 75, himself a recipient of the Phalke Ratan award in recognition of his over five decades in Indian cinema.
Rani paired her gorgeous sari with a sleeveless golden brocade blouse.
Her minimalist look included light jewelry - pearl earrings, pearl nose-pin and a gold coin ring on her right hand ring finger.
Her sleekly styled long dark hair draped her back. She let her dreamy honey brown eyes be the focus of her mesmerizing look. She wore cat eye liner and statement gold specs eyeshadow. Frosty pink lipgloss and a black bindi rounded her gorgeous look.
Rani bonded with Priyanka Chopra at the event, also an awardee. The two posed cheerily for photogs.
Rani was elated with the honor.
"This is my first award for 'Jessica...' and that too this award. So I'm very happy," she told media at the event.
Rani is currently filming for Reema Kagti's Zakhmi with co-stars Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor. Aamir Khan was to attend the event as a presenter to give away the Phalke Ratan award to Dharmendra, but he sent an apology last minute giving his lengthy shoot hours as the reason for not making it to the event. Rekha stepped in to do the honors.
