Sonam Kapoor dropped jaws in a sparkling Atsu Sekhose number at the presser for the India International Jewellery Week (IIJW) at Hotel Grand Hyatt in Kalina, Mumbai on Monday, June 6.
Sonam, who turns 26 on June 9, was announced first ever brand ambassador for the IIJW.
She wore a floor length gown, a sequined long sleeve top, and a peplum jacket atop.
She accessorized with imposing baubles, courtesy the jewelry council.
Her retro Hollywood styling included side swept voluminous curls, red lips and subtle smoked eyes sans eyeliner.
India International Jewellery Week 2011, an exhibition and fashion show, will be held at Hotel Grand Hyatt between July 31 and Aug 3.
Sonam will walk the ramp as its opening act.
Jewelry brands participating in the exhibition include Gitanjali Gems, Anmol Jewelers, Amrapali Jewels, Tanishq, Rosily Paul Creations, Divya Ahuja and Kashi Jewelers.
Sonam is currently filming for Abbas Mustan's Players in Mumbai.
