Mariah Carey has celebrated her third wedding anniversary today by giving birth to twins. OMG! Could the timing be any cuter?
After being pregnant for what seemed like FOREVER, the pop diva and her husband Nick Cannon have welcome their twin boy and girl into the world. Mariah gave birth in an un-named hospital in Los Angeles at 12:07 BST, and while there is no info on names for the brand new bundles of joy, we do know that the girl arrived first, followed by her brother. Mariah’s daughter weighed in at 5lbs and 3oz and measured 18 inches, Mariah’s son was slightly bigger, he weighed in at 5lbs and 6oz and measured 19 inches.
Earlier this week husband Nick joked that the couple would probably celebrate their wedding anniversary in hospital, “I’m not trying to be a psychic, but we renew our vows every year so … It’s probably going to be in the hospital this year. I can feel it. We got the minister coming in, so this gown will not be a wedding gown, but a hospital gown.”
Mariah’s official spokesperson has commented on how Mariah is post-birth, “She’s doing great. I spoke to both of them and they are both completely overjoyed.” It was also revealed that the new family listened to Mariah’s We Belong Together shortly after the children were born.
