Prince William Kate Middleton Royal Wedding Audio & Music Will Be Released

Can’t get enough of Royal Wedding Fever? Well, Prince William and Kate Middleton have joined forces with the tech geniuses at Apple to make it just a little easier to bask in their wedded bliss. Thanks to a new partnership between The Royals and iTunes, Wedding Gawkers will be able to download the audio from the April 29 ceremony at Westminster Abbey in London mere hours after Wills and Kate say “I Do.”

In another unprecedented move, music from The Royal Wedding — including the couple’s vows — will also be released digitally right after the service, though Britain’s Decca Records to online retailers such as iTunes. An official audio recording of the event, available as a CD, vinyl, or cassette, will hit stores on May 5, according to The Associated Press. The physical album will include a special collector’s booklet, featuring the complete order of service, the readings, vows, hymns and blessings, and all the music from the event.

“This will be the first Official Royal Wedding Album ever to enter the worldwide digital charts. It will capture a piece of history for a new generation,” says Dickon Stainer, President of Decca Records.

David Joseph, Chairman and CEO of Universal Music UK, chimes in with: “The Official Album for The Royal Wedding will complement everyone’s personal memories of the event. Thanks to digital technology we will be able to deliver it worldwide almost instantly – it will be the fastest we have ever released an album of this stature.”
