Sonakshi Sinha, Akshay Kumar Dance With 'Belly'gerent Looking Sadhus

Sonakshi Sinha and Akshay Kumar included real life Shiva worshiping sadhus in a song and dance sequence of their 3D sci-fi ilm Joker, currently under production in Chandigarh.

On February 2, on the occasion of Maha Shivratari, Akshay Kumar and director and co-producer Shirish Kunder spotted ash smeared sadhus in a procession. On the spur of the moment, the two decided to include them in their song which is choreographed by Farah Khan. It took some persuasion to get the sadhus to consent to the brief cameo.

Later that day, Sonakshi and Akshay tweeted the above photo, which shows Sonakshi wearing a yellow lehenga choli and Akshay colorful ethnic print shirt, hat and white pants.

"Jai jai Shiv Shankar! Maha shivratri mubarak... from all of us on the sets of Joker :)" Sonakshi tweeted.

"We're having our own lil 'Jai Jai Shiv Shankar' here in Chandigarh.Wishing u all a very Happy Maha Shiv Ratri from http://twitpic.com/459ee0" Akshay Kumar tweeted before Sonakshi did.

Kunder confirmed the news to Mumbai Mirror.

"It was quite a spontaneous decision. We saw the sadhus and decided to have them. We also made our extras dress up like them."

The previous day, Sonakshi had shared her excitement over filming her first ever dance of her Bollywood career.

"Been having a blast shooting a song with the entire cast and @TheFarahKhan! Dance karle english mein aur naach le tu hindi mein ;)" Sonakshi wrote on March 1.

The dance is choreographed by Farah Khan. Daler Mehendi and Sonu Kakkar have sung the song which hints at some Chandigarh / bhangra flavor.
