Vidya Balan may or may not be dating UTV CEO Siddharth Roy Kapoor, but she isn't getting married anytime soon.
"I've no time to get married, I'm too busy making dirty pictures," Balan jokes in an interview with HT, alluding to her role in The Dirty Picture, a film inspired by the life of south star Silk Smitha.
Balan maybe headlining The Dirty Picture, but appears to have no appetite for explicit sex scenes in films.
A friend recently lent her some world movies to watch, one of which was Caligula (1979). Malcolm McDowell played lead in the film based on the life of Roman emperor Caligula who ruled from 37 to 41 AD. The film features extremely explicit sex and violence and received very negative reviews.
Not surprisingly, the film left Balan "completely traumatized."
"It's not really porn, but it freaked me out," she explains.
An exceptionally talented star, Balan is often style challenged and is known to struggle with her weight.
She believes she may have finally nailed the weight problem.
"I've had a sleeping problem since I was in school, I couldn't fall asleep before 4 am. Then about two years ago, I started putting on weight and everyone started writing about it," she recalls, adding, "I set my diet straight but to no avail. Then my doctor asked me how many hours I was sleeping, which were about three-four. She explained how it wasn't enough and that's the reason I was gaining weight despite working out."
