Lindsay Lohan Comic Book
It was only a matter of time before Lindsay Lohan’s rap sheet got the comic book treatment. The punchlines just write themselves.
The life and times of the oft-incarcerated wildchild actress and dysfunctional family are being captured in technicolor in a new biographical comic book by Bluewater Productions. The company behind colorful Ripped-From-the-Headlines tombs about Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, and Betty White, has announced that it will release a similar effort about La Lohan that’s set to arrive on the racks of comic book stores across North America this September.
It’s a real page-turner, says Marc Shapiro, who wrote Infamous: Lindsay Lohan.
According to Shapiro, the 32-page book is not all about the salacious headlines, trips to rehab, and bad behavior that have dominated the last five years of Lindsay’s once-thriving career. Instead, the writer says, he tried to examine the underlying causes of Lohan’s inability to “straighten out her life.”
Well, pin a rose on our noses, but if you are going to write a Lindsay Lohan comic book, isn’t it sorta a requirement that you make it all about homegirl’s outrageous behavior? It is, after all, a Lindsay Lohan comic book! Marc, on the other hand, disagrees.
“Lohan is both a victim of the all-consuming celebrity culture and a perpetrator of bad decisions, lack of self-control and an unhealthy sense of entitlement. This issue can be seen as a tragedy in motion; it’s last chapter has yet to be written.”
Bluewater’s publisher Darren G. Davis has offered to donate a portion of the profits from the sale of the book to a charity of Lindsay’s choosing.
