NBA star Lamar Odom and wife Khloe Kardashian are sending messages of support after a teenage boy died tragically in a car accident.
Odom, 31, was apparently visiting New York for the funeral of a relative. He was in the back seat of a vehicle when it collided with a motorcycle in Queens.
As a result of the collision, the boy, who was walking by at the time, was hit.
He was taken to the ER for treatment but reportedly succumbed to his injuries, according to New York's Daily News.
The name of the teenager was not released to the press.
Odom posted on his Twitter page, saying, "Thank you for your support and prayers! My thoughts and prayers are with the young boy's family."
Kardashian, 27, also posted several tweets on her page: "My heart/soul goes out 2every1 in pain from any suffering. Pray 4 all of the angels surrounding us constantly. May our spirits stay strong."
"Our love will give us strength. Love conquers ALL."
Although most of her messages were warm in tone, one wasn't. In reply to some less-than-positive comments on the page, Kardashian had this to say:
"Stop judging other people's lives that you know NOTHING about! My husband & I r in NY 4a funeral 4 his fam. Senseless violence is disgusting!"
