Rupert Grint Wasn’t Too Eager to Kiss Emma Watson, But It Was Okay

Since Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows has hit the theaters last Friday, many male watchers must have been bitterly envious of Rupert Grint as he planted a kiss on Emma Watson’s lips.

Grint himself, however, is not raving over the chance – no matter what fans may be imagining. “I’ve seen her grow up and known her since she was nine,” he points out, adding that it did take off the edge of the experience. “Neither of us were looking forward to it.”

Who knows how it could have felt given other circumstances… For Grint calls Emma “amazing” and lets slip that the kiss was really “okay”.

When questioned, he admits that the two last films may have contained rather frightening scenes, but to his mind it’s not overly scary, for kids enjoy the sensation and are unlikely to react adversely. It’s only normal that the films should become darker as the plot moves on, the characters are growing up, have to adapt themselves to much rougher surroundings and take on more drastic hardships. They are more involved into the call of duty and are often besieged by tiredness and uncertainty.

Glorious it was and miss it he will, yet Grint is ready to leave the whole Harry Potter franchise behind. He says he delights in the sense of freedom and the ability to take up other projects.
