Sonakshi Sinha was reportedly heckled and groped by young male fans while she was attending an event at the Gandhi Garden near Mantralaya in South Mumbai on November 25.
Ironically, the incident took place despite the presence of large police presence at an event to honor plolicemen who laid down their lives during the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack two years ago.
An eyewitness described the incident that left Sonakshi in tears to the Mumbai Mirror as follows:
As Sonakshi was leaving the event, a large number of young male fans started to follow her, amidst them were a few miscreants who started to heckle Sonakshi.
Sensing trouble, the 23-year-old Bollywood star started to walk faster, but the mob persisted.
"Idhar dekho na, hamse baat karo na," shouted the rowdies; some of them started to touch her on the arm and shoulder.
Sonakshi's manager confirmed the incident to Mumbai Mirror.
"The mob's behavior was simply unacceptable. They created a big ruckus, completely disrespecting the speakers on stage. They even fell over and hit each other," he said.
