Meera Chopra is originally from the modeling world. Her first film was Anbe Aaruyire (Ah Ahh) produced and directed by S.J. Suryah, in which he played the lead role. It is Suryah who was responsible for bringing her into films and who changed her name to Nila, Tamil for Moon
She did her bachelor’s degree from Saginaw Valley State University in Saginaw, Michigan, U.S.. After studying mass communications in New York, Meera worked with a leading national television channel but soon gave it up because she felt she was given a raw deal.
Her last Telugu movie Vaana, was produced by an ace producer M. S. Raju, where her acting was highly appreciated. Jaganmohini is her recent movie.She has given several hit films.There were some leaked personal pictures of her which is believed to be taken before she entered the film industries.
