Salman Khan's first 2011 release - Anees Bazmi directed comedy drama Ready, with co-star Asin - will hit theaters on June 3.
The film was earlier slated for release on May 27, 2011, which was also the release date for Farhan Akhtar produced Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, starring Farhan Akhtar, Hrithik Roshan, Abhay Deol and Katrina Kaif.
Ready is a remake of the similarly titled 2008 Telugu film directed by Sreenu Vaitla, starring Ram and Genelia.
The film is expected to recreate the magic of No Entry (2005) in which Salman and Anees last worked together. Asin's fans too have a reason to celebrate as the actress is rumored to have outdone herself this time! The film additionally stars Paresh Rawal, Arya Babbar and Mahesh Manjrekar. Pritam has scored the music. P. C. Sriram lensed the film on locations in Sri Lanka and Mumbai. The final schedule of the film is currently underway in Bangkok. Salman, 45, is actively promoting the film and participating in its production. Originally planned to be shot on location in Mauritius, Salman talked the film's producer, Bhushan Kumar, and director, Anees, to opt for Sri Lanka instead. More recently in Bangkok, Salman took the filmmakers by surprise by deciding to include in the film cameos by Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgan and Kanagana Ranaut. The trio happened to be in Bangkok shooting for Sanjay Dutt production Rascals, directed by David Dhawan.
