Nicole Kidman says that she was “desperate” in her attempts to have another child and will always be “grateful” to the surrogate mother who gave birth to her second daughter.
The Oscar winning actress recently welcomed baby Faith Margaret and is full of praise for the “wonderful woman” who gave birth to her.
The 43-year-old actress who is married to Australian country singer Keith Urban, also 43, opened up about her attempts to expand her family on the Australian TV show ’60 Minutes’.
The star who is nominated for a Best Actress Oscar for her role in the drama ‘Rabbit Hole’, insists on not revealing the identity of the surrogate.
“Anyone who’s been in the place of wanting another child or wanting a child knows the disappointment, the pain and the loss that you go through trying. We were in a place of desperately wanting another child. I couldn’t get pregnant.
“She was the most wonderful woman to do this for us. I get emotional talking about it because I’m so grateful,” said Kidman.
Kidman already has two adopted children with her ex-husband Tom Cruise and a 2-year-old daughter, named Sunday Rose, with Urban.
