Halle Berry looked gorgeous in a Elie Saab lace gown at the 13th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, CA on February 22.
The 44-year-old Monster's Ball star was honored with Lacoste Spotlight Award, which was presented to her by Samuel L. Jackson, who compared her to a stanza of music.
"My dear friend and colleague. Don't you love her name? It's like a stanza of music," Jackson said.
Berry's plunging gown was belted at the waist and had a cascading train.
Taking a minimalist approach to jewelry and makeup, she rocked her softly spiked up pixie cut.
Halle will soon start shooting for her next film, New Year's Eve, in New York. She rejoined the project recently after dropping out of it earlier, to look after her daughter Nahla in the midst of a custody dispute with ex-boyfriend and baby daddy Gabriel Aubry, from whom she split in April 2010.
She will be taking her daughter with her to New York for filming.
The Gary Marshall helmed film additionally stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Jessica Biel, Seth Meyers, Zac Efron, Hilary Swank, Ashton Kutcher, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin and Robert De Niro.
