Angelina Jolie has said that she is hankering after an invite into the Johnny Depp and Tim Burton ‘family’. The two men have made seven films so far, including Sweeney Todd and Alice In Wonderland, and are famed for their quirky interpretations of classic tales. Angelina, who recently starred with Depp in The Tourist, said that discussions are ongoing about the possibility of her starring in Burton’s planned remake of Sleeping Beauty, titled Maleficent. The 35-year-old told MTV News, “It’s all new and being discussed, but I loved her when I was a little girl. She was my favourite. “Tim Burton, the chance to work with him would be extraordinary.” And as for working with Depp again? “Oh, of course. I think every actor would be open to that,” she said. “They are such a special team, and so you’d feel like you’d be entering a family that is such a wonderful, existing family.” Maleficent is expected for release in 2013.
