Amidst numerous other film offers from leading producers, Madhuri Dixit has one from Anil Kapoor Productions that will require her to play Sonam Kapoor's mother.
In a recent interview with CNN-IBN, Madhuri, currently in Mumbai to judge the dance reality show Jhalak Dhikla Jaa, confirmed that she is looking at film scripts to see if any one of them is compelling enough to tempt her to return to Bollywood.
Yesterday, the Mumbai Mirror reported that Anil Kapoor had offered Madhuri a role in his planned remake of Freaky Friday. The film will feature Anil's daughter, Sonam Kapoor, as lead, with Madhuri playing Sonam's mother.
Kapoor and Dixit go back a long time having worked in films such as Pukar (2000), Beta (1992) and Tezab (1988).
This morning, using her Twitter account, Madhuri confirmed that she will be meeting Anil today.
"Meeting with Anil Kapoor today. Lets see what happens....," she tweeted.
Madhuri has reportedly received tempting offers from Yashraj Films, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Karan Johar and UTV.
