Turns out, Girls Gone Wild founder Joe Francis really isn’t “The Marrying Kind.”
Imagine that….
In a press statement issued Thursday evening, Francis and his wife of seven weeks, Arkansas-born CBS newscaster Christina McLarty, confirmed that they are calling it quits.
“After careful and thoughtful consideration on both our parts, Christina and I have mutually decided to end our relationship,” the pair remarked in a statement. “We entered into our relationship with love, and it’s with love and kindness that we leave it. We wish each other the best for the future.”
The couple’s four-year relationship “completely changed” after they tied the knot in early November, loose-lipped snoops alleged to Us Weekly Wednesday. McLarty reportedly moved out of the couple’s Bel Air home shortly after Thanksgiving and has been living with her mother. Francis’ rep at first denied the split reports, but conceded that the Joe and Christina had, in fact, broken up after the couple determined that there would be no reconciliation.
Joe and Christina wed in a civil ceremony in Punta Mita, Mexico on Nov. 6. Since the ceremony was not legally-binding, there will be no divorce proceedings. (Or spousal support we presume….)
Oh — did we forget to mention that Christina will retain ownership of her 9-carat engagement ring?
