The News of the World yesterday published images of the cricket legend and notorious womaniser having “a steamy affair” with married model and actress Liz Hurley.
According to the British Sunday tabloid, the pair spent two nights together in Warne’s luxury London hotel suite last week.
The paper captured the couple on video in what it described as a “sensational public clinch”.
According to the report, the pair hugged and kissed passionately after Warne met Hurley outside his hotel last Wednesday.
They were also seen kissing and gazing into each others’ eyes after a party in a London restaurant hosted by Russian tycoon Alexander Lebedev.
A witness told the paper: “They were so passionate they looked like honeymooners.
“It was electric.”
After the party, the couple shared a chauffeur-driven Mercedes with Hurley’s former partner, Hugh Grant, who was also at the dinner.
The car took them back to the Bentley Hotel and they emerged separately the next day.
According to News of the World, Warne and Hurley returned to the hotel on Thursday afternoon. They later left for a restaurant in Chelsea, but returned to the suite and spent the night together.
The next day, the pair separately left the hotel, Warne reportedly to fly home to Australia.
He was in London to film interviews for his new Nine Network chatshow, Warnie.
Arriving at Melbourne airport last night, the leg-spinner refused to comment on the scandal.
Warne is just as famous for his off-field exploits as his cricketing success. In 2000, he lost the Australian vice-captaincy after leaving sexually explicit phone messages for English nurse Donna Wright. She sold the tapes to a British tabloid.
His marriage to long suffering wife Simone unravelled on the eve of the 2005 Ashes series in England after British tabloids revealed two of his affairs. The reports included salacious details about how the trysts took place on the bonnet of Warne’s BMW.
Since their very public divorce, there have been reports Warne and Simone are heading towards a reconciliation, with Simone telling a woman’s magazine last year that she would always love the father of her three children.
Hurley has been married to Indian tycoon Arun Nayar since 2007 and News of The World reported that the affair with Warne will shock her family and friends.
According to the paper, Hurley and Warne have been flirting with each other for months via Twitter.
