Sofia Vergara Kmart Spokesmodel
From Modern Family bombshell to discount retail darling? Colombian-born actress Sofia Vergara is in chats with Kmart to become the new face of retail giant Kmart, according to reports this week.
Kmart execs are said to be courting the heavily-accented Vergara for a deal — worth an estimated $8 million — that will see the beauty featured in a host of ad campaigns for the chain. Sofia will also front her own clothing, hair, beauty, and accessories lines targeted toward Kmart’s core shopping demographic.
Vergara, 38, rose to fame playing Ed O’Neill’s character’s trophy wife, Gloria Delgado-Pritchett on the hit ABC comedy. She’s turned her stunning good looks into an asset for her devotion to charities charity scene, making appearances to support the Seven Bar Foundation, which works to help financially-strapped women all over the world, and the Children’s Defense Fund.
