Demi Lovato's rep has rubbished a report that the troubled Disney star called her father, Patrick Lovato, from her treatment center.
Patrick, a former musician and an engineer who was diagnosed with cancer a couple of months ago, is reported to have told Radar Online that Demi called him this week to speak about his cancer.
"She told me she loved me, she really loves her daddy," Patrick said.
"She told me she's getting better."
Lovato's rep dismisses the claim.
"Not true. She hasn't spoken to her dad in a long time. He is making false claims," the rep says. [via Page Six].
Page Six earlier reported that Patrick has been warned by Disney lawyers and Demi's mother, Dianna, to stop talking about the star.
Patrick separated from Dianna in 1994. Sources tell Page Six that he hasn't met Demi in years.
Late in October, Lovato quit the Jonas Brothers world tour, for which she was the opening act, and checked into a treatment center.
She is reportedly seeking treatment for "emotional and physical issues."
