Watch your back, Dina Lohan. That “World’s Worst Stage Mom” plaque isn’t safe now that Connie’s on the loose!
The Roommate actress Leighton Meester has fired her ex-con-turned-manager mom after the middle-aged woman was hit with a restraining order for allegedly harassing a family near her home in California.
Los Angeles therapist Laurel Wiig says Constance Meester, 54, threatened to “hunt down and kill” both her and her minor son after the pair had a falling out on Jan. 21, The National Enquirer writes in its Feb. 28 issue. The families are acquainted through their two children, who attend school together. In court papers filed in Los Angeles this week, The Wiigs charge that the elder Meester is an “addict,” who vowed to “fuck us up.”
Constance is now under court order not to come within 100 yards of Wiig and her son and has been ordered to stay away from the family’s home in San Fernando Valley. The incident proved the last straw for Meester’s famous daughter, who plays silver spooner Blair Woodard on TV’s Gossip Girl.
“Leighton has always disapproved of her mother’s criminal past, and now that she’s gotten into more trouble, she made the painful decision to cut ties with Connie,” a family friend close to the actress tells The Enquirer.
Constance spent time in federal prison in the 1980s after she was convicted of assisting a drug ring that transported thousands of pounds of marijuana from Jamaica to the US. Leighton was born while her mother was serving time in a Texas halfway house as part of her sentence for involvement in the ring.
“It made me realize that you can’t judge anyone — especially your parents — for what they’ve done in their past, because people change,” she told PEOPLE Magazine back in Jan. 2009.
