Carrie Underwood Bags Six Awards In American Country Awards
The uncrowned queen of American Country Awards night at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas was Carrie Underwood who took home six awards. Her awards included Artist of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, Single of the Year Female Artist, Album of the Year, Music Video of the Year by a Female Artist for “Cowboy Casanova” and also Touring Headline Package of the Year. The star-studded event witnessed spectacular performances by the veteran celebrities of the country music industry and the music fanatics were able to see the event on Fox network. One of the striking features of the award was that the fans got an opportunity to vote for their favorite artists.
Carrie Underwood can be called the show-stealer of the night who was excited about the recognition she received from her fans. The singer looked stunning in her red asymmetrical gown and when she took the stage to receive her award, she thanked all her fans for their love and support. The country music sensation said that this year was the most “amazing” for the country music artists but it would have not been possible without the support of the audience. Rascal Flatts got the Decade Award and Alan Jackson received the Greatest Hits Award.
The six-time Grammy nominee Lady Antebellum was honored four awards for the night which included Duo or Group of the Year, Single of the Year, Duo or Group Single of the Year and Duo or Group Video of the Year for “Need You Now”. Country music artist Trace Adkins hosted the award function and the audience loved each performance of the night. The winners were given Fender Strat guitar instead of a trophy.
