Eliza Dushku has walked away from her latest TV project, citing “creative differences.” Basic cable giant TNT has confirmed that Dushku, best known for her work on on TV’s Tru Calling and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, recently dropped out of a pilot for its upcoming cop drama, Bird Dog.
Dushku, who last appeared in FOX’s low-rated cult favorite Dollhouse, was due to return to the small screen in a new series about a New York City cop who teams up with her cop dad, but the actress left the project just a month after signing on, The Hollywood Reporter said this week.
“Hey guys! News to report. We have mutually & amicably decided to part ways on Bird Dog due to creative differences. No worries/fears/tears!” Dushku wrote in a posting to her Facebook fan page on Monday.
Neither TNT nor Dushku have offered any additional details about the “creative differences” that led to the actress’ departure.
