Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra buried their six year long feud with a public hug at the Mumbai Police event Umang 2011 on December 19 at the Andheri Sports Complex in Mumbai.
They went on to perform together accompanied by Kareena's beau Saif Ali Khan and Priyanka's enduring crush Shah Rukh Khan. Kareena looked gorgeous in a black and silver churidar suit and Priyanka crazily hot in a silver colored sari with a backless bikini blouse. Kareena and Priyanka were not on talking terms since their last film together Aitraaz (2004). Rumor has it that Shah Rukh, Saif and Farhan Akhtar were instrumental in getting the two stars to bury the hatchet. Earlier this month, appearing on Koffee with Karan, Kareena made a snide remark about Priyanka's accent. "I want to know from where did Priyanka get her accent," Kareena told Karan on the show. This Sunday, December 19, appearing on Koffee with Karan with rumored boyfriend Shahid Kapoor, Priyanka gave a fitting but graceful and factually correct response to Kareena's jibe. "I got the accent from the same place that her boyfriend Saif got it from," Priyanka said. Priyanka was alluding to the fact that both she and Saif have studied abroad. The reconciliation at the police event came while Priyanka was performing on the Desi Girl track from Dostana. Shah Rukh and Saif joined her on stage after which Priyanka gestured to Kareena to also join them, which Kareena did. The four then danced together leaving the audience thrilled. But the biggest surprise was when the two hotties hugged and kissed each other backstage. Shah Rukh was seen clicking the hug on his mobile.
