Bad girl turned fashion maven mommy Nicole Richie told People.com that she’d always dreamed about getting married in a dress inspired by Princess Grace Kelly’s iconic wedding gown. And she wanted to have a live elephant on-site to bring good luck. And she did it.
She married to her fiancé Joel Madden at her father’s lavish home on 11th December. Nicole Richie wedding ceremony was held at Beverly Hills.
There are around 130 guests presented at the wedding ceremony, which took place under a white tent at Nicole’s father’s estate. The pair took their wedding swear ahead of family members and friends. The couple got engaged in May, 2010.
Grace Kelly’s wedding dress was designed by MGM seamstress Helen Rose. The gown featured antique Valenciennes rose point lace, 25-yards of silk taffeta and 98-yards of tulle. Kelly’s wedding dress was also the inspiration for Ivanka Trump’s Vera Wang designed wedding dress.
