And you thought Kate Gosselin was the only one with “Baby Daddy Drama!” Adam Dell (photographed left) and leggy Top Chef hostess Padma Lakshmi are taking the tug-of-war over their 11-month-old daughter, Krishna, to court.
The venture capitalist brother of billionaire Dell Computers founder Michael Dell has petitioned a Manhattan Supreme Court for full custody of the tot — born Feb. 20, 2010 — because he claims he’s permitted to spend just seven hours with his daughter a week. Lakshmi fell pregnant after a brief romance with Dell that ended in 2009 and has allegedly failed to respond to his frequent pleas for more time with Krishna, says Adam’s attorney Bill Zabel.
“Adam Dell, above all else, wants to have an active and substantial role in the upbringing of his daughter with Padma Lakshmi. Unfortunately, Ms. Lakshmi has severely limited his time with their daughter and has refused to negotiate a reasonable co-parenting agreement. Mr. Dell has tried his best to avoid going to court, but Ms. Lakshmi has given him no other choice at this time,” Zabel remarked in a statment to The New York Post’s Page Six Column Wednesday.
Padma, who has been notoriously private about her relationship with Adam, insists the custody suit is just a ploy for media attention.
