Kate has left the party accessories business owned by her parents to focus on her new position, less than a hundred days before her wedding to Prince William.
Middleton has relinquished her title as project manager at Party Pieces so she can "concentrate full-time on preparing to become a member of the royal family", a staff member tells the Daily Mail. "She has handed over her work to colleagues and is now preparing for her future life."
Kate was employed as a photographer and web designer for her parents' company and a friend informs that she assisted in planning parties, which would come in handy in organizing her wedding.
"Catherine is a naturally creative individual and has spent her professional life in the creative industries having worked at Jigsaw, then as a Website designer, photographer, marketer and events organizer", according to a friend, who says to Hello!, "Skills she has built up in her working life translate naturally to organizing a wedding."
The issue of whether the princess will go back to work post-wedding is not clear, but according to expectations, she will follow the royal example and become patron to a charity.
