Well — that was quick: Jesse James and celebrity tattoo artist Kat Von D are engaged to be married less than a year after James’ serial cheating ruined his marriage to beloved Oscar winner Sandra Bullock.
The LA Ink star, 28, confirmed her relationship with Jesse in September, shortly after he finalized his divorce from Sandra in June. The two have been going strong ever since — Jesse even gifted Kat with a baby grand piano for Christmas.
In an uncharacteristically-giddy statement to PEOPLE on Thursday, James described his fiancee as “an amazing woman who stood behind me when the world turned their backs.”
The father-of-three, 41, added: “I have never met anyone so kind and loving and committed to making the world a better place every day. My love for her is beyond description. So honored that she said ‘yes.’ Growing old with her is going to be a fuckin’ blast!”
“There is no one else for me,” Kat told the magazine simply. “He’s the one.”
The two will reportedly have homes in Los Angeles and Austin, Texas.
“Having two places we call home will be good for now,” says Kat, who previously dated Motley Crue rocker Nikki Sixx. “In the end, home is where the heart is, and my heart’s with him.”
